In Dorset we have acted for Bournemouth University since 1989 during which period we have acquired over 200,000 sq ft of accommodation and a further 100,000 sq ft acquired for JP Morgan (formerly Chase Manhattan Bank).
We set a new prime rent of £17 per sq ft for Bournemouth on the pre-let of 63,000 sq ft with other significant pre-lets being achieved at Bournemouth Airport. Other major disposals have included Marshall Point (48,000 sq ft) on behalf of Zurich and Richmond House (57,000 sq ft) on behalf of First Assist.
In Southampton we have let over 20,000 sq ft of Capital House for Arcadian Estates, including 12,500 sq ft to MLS Business Centres, and last year disposed of 1650 Parkway (5300 sq ft) on Solent Business Park at J9 of the M27. The recent sale by this firm of 14.8 acres of B1 land at Solent 2, together with a further 3.25 acres to Business Homes, now opens the door for a new phase of B1 development on the M27 corridor.
